  • Hand Craft Activities
Women through women groups have been given skill in making beads using locally available materials like paper, glue, vanish and strings / threads. Women cut papers in different sizes and designs, role them neatly to produce fine jewelry that can have market in both local and international markets. They have also been involved in making ladies hand bags from raffia, hats, dolls, and mats. However the market is still small and not reliable at the moment. But we are striving hard to find more reliable markets for these products so that we can improve the standards of living of the people especially women and children in the community.
  • d) Recreational activities in the slums
Foot ball and kids games have been initiated in the slums targeting children and the youth in the slums with an aim of keeping them busy and developing their skills. This will keep them busy to avoid joining bad peer groups and engaging in other criminal activities such as drug abuse, theft and robbery.
Foot ball will continue to be promoted and have the teams registered and participate in the local football leagues.
